Goose with quill
The goose started out as just a functional black walnut bowl but as I was carving I found a hole in the wood, and then a corresponding hole a few inches away. My first instinct was to fill the voids with wood filler or epoxy, then I remembered the porcupine quill. It was the perfect touch change an ordinary bowl into a work of art. 5” high by 12” wide
