Acorns and Leaves
2023 was an extraordinary year for acorns in our yard. As I was raking the nuts I was inspired by the little acorn caps and collected some for later use. This encaustic wax painting was the perfect place for three of those caps. The background was hand carved, then coated with the blue/green wood dye and shellac. 8” high by 8” wide
